A LOOK BACK:  The Eagles started the season with an exciting 3-1 win over Sycamore at home on Wednesday.  While Milford took the first set 25-23, Sycamore fought back to tie it up with a 28-26 win in the second.  The Eagles, however, came away with wins of 25-16 and 25-20 in the third and fourth sets for the victory.

Milford posted a huge win on Thursday when they traveled to face ECC foe Loveland.   After a 25-20 win, the Eagles dropped the second set 25-17.  Just as the night before, however, the Eagles persevered to take the match 3-1, winning the third set 25-16 and the fourth with a score of 25-17.

The two-win streak fell Friday as Milford faced Fairfield on the road, though the Eagles held their own with the #9 ranked team.  While Fairfield opened with narrow wins of 25-22 and 25-21, Milford rallied to win set three, 25-22.  The Eagles couldn’t hold on, however, and dropped the fourth set 25-18 for a final of 3-1.

Tuesday’s scheduled match with Withrow was cancelled, as Withrow was unable to field a complete team.
