Girls Golf Back On Course This Week With Two Dual Matches

SETTING THE SCENE: The Milford High School girls team is back in action this week as the Eagles take part in head-to-head match-ups with area rival Loveland as well as Mount Notre Dame. The Eagles are coming off a split of two matches last week and will first take on Loveland for the second time already this year on Tuesday at Eagles Nest Golf Course. Thursday will see the Eagles journey to the Mill Golf Course to take on MND.


THE UPCOMING DOCKET: A look at Milford’s schedule for the upcoming week:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 28 vs. Loveland, Eagles Nest Golf Course, 3:40 p.m.
  • Thursday, Aug. 30 at Mount Notre Dame, Mill Golf Course, 3:40 p.m.


A LOOK BACK: Aug. 21 vs. West Clermont: Behind a team-best score of 47 from junior Megan Loux, the Eagles picked up a convincing win over West Clermont. Playing the course at Eagles Nest, Milford was victorious by a 198-283 score.


Aug. 23 at Turpin: A battle of two of the top teams in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference saw Turpin knock off the Eagles by a 182-190 score. Playing at the Terrace Park Country Club, freshman Abi Loux topped the Eagles with a score of 45.

POLL WATCH: Milford continues to receive votes in the weekly Cincinnati Enquirer area coaches’ poll, released on Aug. 27. Lakota East is again this week’s top-ranked squad, earning seven of the 10 first place votes that were cast. Second place Mason received a pair of top spot nods with third place Ursuline earning the final tally. Sycamore and Mercy McAuley round out the top-five. Representing the ECC are Kings in eighth, along with Turpin and Anderson joining Milford in the others receiving votes section. The coaches’ poll is released every Monday at Noon at
