Week Of April 11 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Macie Bach
Junior, Milford Track
Macie PR'd in the 400 meter dash at the Clash of the Champions ECC vs. GMC Meet this past week. She broke 60 for the first time running 59.88 seconds to win the event. Macie also was a part of the winning 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams that also both ran season-best times. Keep up the great work Macie!
Ryan Compton
Sophomore, Milford Track
Ryan set a new PR in the 200 meter dash on his way to an overall finish of seventh in the event. Ryan broke the 24-second barrier that he has been working for the past two seasons with a time of 23.95 seconds. Ryan is a long way from being done as he continues to improve daily. Looking for lots of great things from Ryan the rest of the year. Way to go, keep up the hard work Ryan!
Jacob Downs
Senior, Milford Volleyball
Jacob recorded 15 aces, a 2.6 serve receive rating, 68 kills (hitting 35 percent), six blocks, and 64 digs in five matches this past week.
Brandon Neff
Senior, Milford Baseball
Brandon, a senior pitcher, earned the win against Walnut Hills this past week by pitching four innings, allowing only one hit, while recording nine strikeouts.
Maria Rust
Junior, Milford Lacrosse
Maria netted six goals for her team this past week, shooting 75 percent. She also had five DCs, one GB, and one CT helping her team secure its first ECC win of the season over Anderson.
