Week Of January 15 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Cameron Barclay
Junior, Milford Swimming
Cameron's week started in a dual with Sycamore where he was the winner in the 100 freestyle (52.66), runner-up in the 50 breaststroke (32.22), while also swimming the opening leg of the winning 200 medley relay. Moving on to the Southwest Ohio Classic, he made the finals in the 500 freestyle (4:47.00), placed sixth while swimming the lead-off leg in the 200 medley relay which earned tenth place. In prelim action, Cameron took second in the 200 free (1:47.65), first in the 1650 free (17:34.00), and was part of a pair of third-place finishing relays.
Liz Fadden
Freshman, Milford Swimming
Liz's busy week started with a third-place finish in the 50 backstroke (33.34) against Sycamore. Competing against the best in the area at the Southwest Ohio Classic, Liz took first place in the preliminaries in both the 500 (5:46.02) and 1650 (19:40.94) freestyle events.
